Project Description

This animation expresses my love for martial arts. As a child, I wanted to pursue martial arts, but was discouraged by my parents under the pretense that it was a “boys’ thing” and “too aggressive”. My animation shows that martial arts promote a non-violent approach, self- discipline, and commitment.

I cut together already existing video material in After Effects and then rotoscoped over said material in Blender. That means that every frame you see is hand-drawn and not interpolated. Some slight adjustments in transitions were done using After Effects.
